When the officer asked Johnson if he would submit to a breathalyzer test back at the police station, Johnson grew angry. He "stood up in a threatening manner and started screaming and cursing Bringier," the report says, quoting him as saying, "F*** you! I'm not taking any f***ing test because I wasn't drinking."
Robert Johnson, 24, drove into a large signal truck at a construction site at Interstate 10 westbound at Interstate 610, around 9:40 p.m. on Oct. 15. The accident injured the driver of the signal truck and a 3-year-old child who was a passenger in Johnson's car and was not in a carseat. Both were transported to Interim LSU Hospital with injuries. Johnson became agitated after being asked to sumbit to a sobriety test, and eventually became so angy that police tased him. Johnson was arrested on charges of third-offense DWI, driving without a license, driving under suspension for prior offenses, reckless driving, approaching an emergency vehicle, not properly restraining a child passenger, driving without proof of auto insurance, as well as two other unspecified Jefferson Parish warrants.
