68-year-old woman dead after truck hits her at St. Andrew Street and St. Charles Avenue in New Orleans, LA

Woman killed after being struck by truck on St. Charles Avenue

The Orleans Parish Coroner will perform an autopsy to determine the woman's exact cause of death.
A 68-year-old woman was walking near the intersection of St. Andrew Street and St. Charles Avenue when a 57-year-old man in a car hit her as he was turning left from St. Andrew Street onto St. Charles Avenue. The woman was transported the hospital before eventually being pronounced dead. So far no charges have been filed, but toxicology tests are underway.
