Harahan woman, 47, killed as car tumbles off bridge onto Carrollton Avenue ramp, NOPD says

The accident occurred around 2 p.m. and caused a partial shutdown of westbound Interstate 10 near Carrollton Avenue and Airline Highway. NOPD Traffic Fatalities Detective Michael Baldassaro is heading the ongoing investigation. Authorities ask anyone with information on the fatal crash to contact the NOPD traffic unit at 504.658.6210. A 47-year-old Harahan woman was killed Sunday (Sept. 13) when a car she was riding in crashed and fell off a bridge onto a Carrollton Avenue freeway on-ramp, New Orleans police said. According to NOPD Traffic Fatalities investigators, the woman was the passenger in an unknown model of antique Plymouth that was driven by a 56-year-old Harahan man.
