Through investigation, it was determined that the Honda was traveling eastbound on North Claiborne Avenue when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle exited the travel lane and crashed into the rear of an 18-wheeler trailer parked on the shoulder of the road.

Paramedics declared the 31-year-old victim dead at the scene and transported the driver to the hospital for treatment.
