A woman was injured Saturday afternoon in a amusement ride accident during a carnival at the Head of Falls park in Waterville less than 24 hours after three children were injured in a ride malfunction at the same carnival.

Officials: Inspections not a factor in carnival accidents
He says Saturday's accident, in which a woman fell off a swing ride, was "rider error." He says the woman unfastened a safety belt and tried to get off the ride before it stopped.
