Maine man killed in snowmobile crash in New Sweden

John MacDonald says 32-year-old Johnathan Anderson died instantly in the crash that happened at about 9 p.m. Saturday's accident was Maine's second snowmobile fatality in a week. On Jan. 24, 61-year-old Robert Milhomme of Saint George died from head injuries suffered in an accident in South Thomaston. MacDonald said the two had been out riding all day and were returning to her Caribou home along Maine's Interconnecting Trail System 83 in New Sweden when Anderson's snowmobile drifted to the side of the trail and crashed. Officials say speed appears to be a factor in the crash.
