For the second time in less than a week, a pedestrian has been struck and killed by an Amtrak train in Maryland, disrupting regional service.

It happened around 4:30 p.m. near Aberdeen.

That’s where Amtrak officials say a train heading to Boston struck a trespasser.
That person died from their injuries.

About 300 passengers were on board the train at the time of the accident.
No one else was hurt.
