Erick Jon Girardin, 42, killed after he is run over by a car while lying on the ground of a grass parking lot at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland

A Baltimore man was struck and killed by a car after a rock concert Friday at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Howard County police said. About 10 p.m., Justin Wilds, 30, of Philadelphia, was leaving a grass parking lot after the M-3 Rock Festival when the Chrysler Sebring he was driving ran over 42-year-old Erick Jon Girardin, police said. Police said Wilds was not intoxicated at the time of accident, and that Girardin may have been lying on the ground behind the car just before the incident. Wilds and his passenger were not hurt, police said. Howard County Police are still investigating and will determine whether the driver will be charged.
