Accident closes I-97 northbound traffic

An accident on Interstate 97 in Glen Burnie closed the road to northbound traffic Friday morning.
Initially police closed the road in both directions in the area of Route 100, however by 9:25 a.m., the lanes for southbound had been reopened, according to police.
Two cars were involved in the crash and at least one person was airlifted to a regional hospital for treatment.
