49-year-old man dies in Anne Arundel Co. crash

Police say Thompson left the roadway and severed a telephone pole before flipping over onto the roof of the car. Based on witness statements, police say speed and alcohol may have been a factor in the crash. The man has been identified as Terry Thompson, 49, of Crownsville, Md. Thompson suffered life-threatening injuries and police say he was taken to Shock Trauma in Baltimore.

None of the other reports say he passed. Is this information correct. The capital gazette says he was released Sunday
