The unidentified man was found lying in the middle of the street on Route 7 where it meets Gunpowder Ridge Road in Joppa about 4 a.m., troopers said.

Timothy L. White Jr., 22, of Joppa, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. His silver Honda CRV was found nearby on a hill along Gunpowder Ridge Road, still running and in drive.
