Motorcyclist dies in crash on I-95 in Pr. George’s.

A motorcyclist in a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 in Prince George’s County died Saturday evening, Maryland State Police said.

A motorcyclist in a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 in Prince George’s County died Saturday evening, Maryland State Police said.

Jose Roberto Gomez, 35, of Baltimore, was headed southbound on I-95 near Route 212 about 7 p.m., when his Suzuki GSX-R 600 motorcycle struck a Volkswagen going in the same direction, police said. The Suzuki was traveling at a high rate of speed.

Gomez apparently lost control of the Suzuki and was ejected, police said. He landed on a travel portion of the highway and was then struck by a southbound tractor-trailer, police said.

Gomez was pronounced dead at the scene. No one else was injured in the crash, but the incident shut down two lanes of traffic for a time. The crash remains under investigation.
