Two killed in crash in upper Montgomery County
Two people were killed Monday night in a car crash in the Gaithersburg area of Montgomery County, authorities said.
The crash occurred around 8 p.m. on Airpark Road between Woodfield and Muncaster Mill Roads, said Pete Piringer, spokesman for the county fire and rescue service.

His 1999 Honda Civic struck a 2002 Volkswagen Passat driven by George Thomas Carey, 67, of Laytonsville, and a 2010 Toyota Prius driven by Farhad Gholami, 25, of Derwood. Hong Wang, 65, of Clarksburg, driving a 1997 Mercury Villager, also was involved in the crash.
