The driver of the Wrangler remained on the scene. Police are seeking witnesses to the incident and asked anyone with information to call investigators at 301-731-4422.
It was about 8:00pm when Bradford was allegedly walking in the southbound shoulder of Branch Avenue, and a was struck by a northbound SUV that had veered to the left when trying to avoid a car that had turned in front of it. Bradford was critically injured in the accident, and died the afternoon of the next day.The driver stayed at the scene of the accident.
