"Really tragic, untimely situation for everybody, unbelievable,” said Richard Knox told us. Wood-Knox's family described her as a loving, selfless mother of four and grandmother of seven. Her youngest grandchild was just born on Saturday.

Damron and another Morningside officer responded to the scene, where they found Knox. They interviewed neighbors, but Damron said that no one they talked to had witnessed the crash.
A Maryland woman was killed in a bizarre accident at 6:30 Friday, and authorities are attempting to understand how the accident occurred. The initial investigation suggests that the vehicle slipped into reverse, went onto the curb traveling toward a tree. The vehicle door was open and Wood-Knox was hanging out of the vehicle. She somehow got trapped between the tree and the door. It happened at the corner of Randolph Road and Allies Road.
