33-year-old woman in critical condition after police cruiser strikes her on Branch Avenue in Temple Hills, MD

A 33-year-old woman was attempting to cross the highway of Branch Avenue at about 12:30am when she was hit by a police cruiser. The woman sustained critical injuries in the accident and remains in the hospital. As the woman was illegally crossing the highway, the officer will likely not be cited.
