Amy Cavanaugh, 36, killed in rollover accident on Canaan Road in Richmond, Massachusetts

A Pittsfield woman was killed early Sunday morning in a single-vehicle crash on Canaan Road, the Massachusetts State Police reported. Shortly after midnight, troopers from the Massachusetts State Police Barracks in Lee were dispatched a single-vehicle crash near 151 Canaan Road. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, Amy Cavanaugh, 36, died from injuries sustained in the crash. A call reporting the crash was received by authorities at 12:03 a.m. A preliminary investigation indicates that a 1998 Jeep Cherokee operated by Cavanaugh rolled over on Canaan Road. Cavanaugh was taken by ambulance to Berkshire Medical Center, where she was pronounced deceased. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by Troop B of the Massachusetts State Police with the assistance of the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and the State Police Crime Scene Services Section.
