Police said the crash scene was littered with beer and liquor bottles.
A driver was arrested for operating under the influence after the vehicle he was driving was involved in a high-speed crash on Route 6A in Barnstable. A Yarmouth Police officer clocked the vehicle going 80 mph at around 1:45 a.m. Saturday. Timothy Lavallee, 21, of Barnstable was driving the gray Volkswagen and was not injured following the single car crash. Police said the crash scene was littered with beer and liquor bottles. Lavallee was arrested for operating under the influence and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. He will also be issued a citation for speeding from Yarmouth.
