Revere police officer seriously injured in Chelsea crash
A Revere police officer was seriously injured in a crash while pursuing a car in Chelsea according to police. The officer was dispatched because of a suspicious person in a car on Park avenue just after 8 a.m. Police said the cruiser struck a telephone pole on Marginal Street while pursuing that vehicle. The cruiser continued on and hit a second pole. Both poles are now leaning over the road. Franchesco Ortiz, one of the men who helped pull the officer from the wreckage said he saw a car come down the road and almost spin out, but continued on. The officer was unable to maintain control of his car.
