A Boston man has been indicted on charges stemming from a crash that killed an 18-year-old bicyclist. Not guilty pleas were entered on McCoy's behalf in May to charges including motor vehicle homicide. The Suffolk District Attorney's office said Thursday that a jury indicted 27-year-old Gregory McCoy on charges including manslaughter while operating under the influence and leaving the scene of a collision causing death. His attorney previously said McCoy understands he faces "very serious charges." Authorities say McCoy was speeding through a residential area on May 19 in his friend's Cadillac.

Cheline Garcia told the Herald she was putting her kids to bed when she heard the impact. Garcia, a medical assistant, went outside and saw the boy on his back and immediately started chest compressions until EMTs arrived.

Fritz Philogene, 18, was killed when two cars collided at the intersection of Talbot and New England streets late Tuesday night, as one or both of the cars crashed into him, Boston police said.

"I am devastated that this happened,” he said. “I’m still numb and it hasn’t really hit yet because I’m waiting to see him.” At the crash scene, a memorial to Philogene was taking shape.

The teen was riding a bike near the intersection of Talbot and New England Avenues around 10 p.m. Tuesday when two vehicles crashed. He was struck by one or both of the cars and later died. His name has not been released by investigators, but a family friend identified him Wednesday afternoon as 18-year-old Fritz Philogene, a sophomore at West Roxbury High School.

Grieving family members and friends left the courthouse in tears, shaken by the events."I'm still numb and it hasn't really hit yet, 'cause I'm waiting to see him," said Graham.Bail was set for McCoy at $250,000.

A teenage boy was riding near the intersection of Talbot and New England Avenues around 10 p.m. Tuesday when he was struck by one or both of the vehicles after they crashed. According to the the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, at least two adult occupants of involved vehicles were hospitalized but are expected to survive. Police are looking for a Cadillac involved in the crash, which fled the scene. We'll update this story as more information becomes available.
