2 Elderly Pedestrians Struck In SouthEnd

 Two elderly pedestrians were struck in the South End Wednesday afternoon. The women were transported to Boston Medical Center after a vehicle struck them at Tremont and West Brookline streets. Police told WBZ-TV’s Kate Merrill the women were in the crosswalk with a third person when they were hit by a female driver in a Nissan. The driver is believed to have suffered a medical emergency, though police are not sure if that occurred before or after the crash. She was hospitalized as well.
