7-year-old girl, seriously injured, taken to hospital, after she is struck by a SUV, driven by a 27-year-old woman, on Country Club Blvd. in Worcester.

A 7-year-old girl was taken to the hospital Tuesday after being struck by an SUV on Country Club Boulevard in Worcester. Police responded to the area of 49 Country Club Blvd. around 3 p.m. Wednesday after a report of a pedestrian accident, according to a Worcester Police Department press release. When they arrived, they found a 7-year-old girl had been hit by an SUV. She was taken to a local hospital where she is currently listed in stable condition, according to police. The 27-year-old woman driving the SUV was from Worcester, stated police. The initial investigation by the Accident Reconstruction Team shows that the SUV was traveling in the left lane of the road, heading towards Lincoln Street, when the accident occurred. The reconstruction team is still investigating the accident.
