1 killed, 6 hurt in crash in Gill

Police have identified the woman killed in a three-vehicle crash on Route 2 in Gill over the weekend.

28-year-old Theresa Pendleton of Erving was pronounced dead at Baystate Franklin Medical Center after the crash at about 7:45 p.m. Saturday.

Six occupants of an SUV her car collided with were also taken to the hospital, but released later that night. Pendleton was alone in her vehicle.

A third car involved suffered minor damages and three occupants were unhurt.

The crash remains under investigation and no charges have been filed. The roads were slick after a snow squall, but police say it’s too early to say whether weather was a factor.
