Wendell bicyclist in stable condition after Friday hit-and-run
Daniel LeVangie, 40, of Wendell, was riding his bicycle on Lockes Village Road when struck by an unknown vehicle. There were no apparent witnesses, and the driver kept going, Wendell Police Chief Ed Chase told The Recorder.
Local police and firefighters responded to the call around 5 p.m. LeVangie was transported by ambulance to Orange Municipal Airport, then by LifeFlight helicopter to UMass Memorial.
