Valliere said there is no indication that alcohol was a factor in the crash. "I don't see this going in any direction other than speed at this point," he said.

The person who reported the crash was not aware anyone was inside the car and the body wasn't discovered until police went to investigate.

He said that it could have occurred at anytime between 2:00 A.M. and 7:00 A.M., when the farmer saw the vehicle and called police.
Alexander Schultz was driving in excess of 50 mph when he lost control of his Volkswagen sedan and the car flipped several times and landed in a field. Schultz was found dead at the scene. The car was heavily damaged and it does not appear that Schultz was wearing a seat belt. Authorities are not completely sure what caused the crash, but excessive speed is considered to be the primary factor in his death.
