A woman miraculously survived a train-car crash Monday night in New Buffalo. Shortly before 7:30 p.m., an Amtrak passenger train slammed into a northbound car at E. Clay St. and Bell Ave. in New Buffalo. There wasn't much left of the car, but the driver was alert and conscious when rescuers arrived on the scene. She was taken to the hospital but WSBT is told she will survive. However, she just missed serious injury by inches. The woman was the only one in the car. The railroad crossing has no gates and flashers.
