1 Dead After 2 Vehicles Strike Broken Down DDOT Bus On I-94

The bus was empty at the time of the crash and the bus driver was uninjured. The freeway was closed several hours for the investigation of the crash.

"Alcohol was not a factor with the DDOT driver and is undetermined as far as the other drivers. Seat belts were utilized," the release said.
A 36-year-old man from Port Huron was driving a pickup truck east on I-94 when he collided with an empty city bus that was left inoperable on the roadway. Just afterwards, a van driven by a 69-year-old man struck the two already wreck vehicles. The driver of the truck was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, while the driver of the van was hospitalized with critical injuries. Check back for updates and more details on this accident.
