Detroit police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash that killed two men Saturday morning on Detroit’s east side. A white Chevy Suburban collided with a white Jeep Cherokee on 7 Mile Road near Yonka Street at about 3:30 a.m. The driver of the Suburban was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries. The passenger was stuck in the SUV when the vehicle went up in flames. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Neither of the victims has been identified. The driver of the white Jeep Cherokee fled the scene.

Family members can't believe the man in the other car could leave the two victims behind in desperate need of help.
"You need to surrender and turn yourself in. You killed two people," Kowalski said.
