A 20-year-old Manchester man has been identified by Michigan State Police as the person killed Wednesday, April 23, from a dirt bike accident in Sharon Township. Cameron LaDouceur, who went to Manchester High School and participating in some sports there including wrestling, was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders. Sgt. Mark Thompson said that based on the preliminary investigation it appears LaDouceur tried to make a jump with his Honda off-road vehicle, but lost control of it. The Honda crashed into a second jump, he said. He said the rider ended up falling off and the Honda landed on him. LaDouceur had friends nearby who tried to provide aid, Thompson said. He said the accident occurred at about 7:17 p.m. around Peckins Road near Peckins Lane. Joyce Williams, Huron Valley Ambulance public affairs manager, said an ambulance and supervisor unit were dispatched after a call came in reporting the accident at 7:20 p.m. Wednesday.
