Rochester Hills man hit while jogging at Oakland University believed to be school’s first pedestrian death
His death comes at a time when most students are on recess following the winter semester.
A 25-year-old man was driving a car west on Pioneer Drive at about 5:00 p.m. on the campus of Oakland University when he struck 54-year-old Perry Badia, who was jogging to the east in the westbound lanes. Badia was transported to the hospital with major injuries and pronounced dead a few hours later. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
