Multiple vehicle wrecks have shut down two sections of eastbound I-96 in Kent County, according to Michigan State Police. The first series of wrecks occurred near Morse Lake Avenue just before the exit to Lowell at Alden Nash Avenue. The number of vehicles involved is unknown. The second series of wrecks happened near M-6 where the highway is also blocked.
