2 hurt in wrong-way, drunk driving crash on I-94

He is expected to be arraigned on charges of operating while intoxicated causing serious injury.

Two injured in wrong-way crash

Deputies were assisted at the scene by officers from the Albion Department of Public Safety.

Wrong-way driver on I-94 causes crash that sent two to the hospital, police say

"The occupants of that vehicle were identified as a 27-year-old male from Jackson and a 28-year-old female, also from Jackson," the statement said.  "Both occupants were transported by Albion Ambulance to Allegiance Hospital, where they were listed in stable condition."
A 48-year-old man had allegedly been drinking before he started driving east in the westbound lanes of I-94, and struck an oncoming car on its driver's side. The occupants of the other vehicle, only identified as a man and woman from Jackson, 27 and 28-years-old respectively, were taken to the hospital; their conditions are stable. The man who caused the crash has been arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated and causing serious injuries. Check back for updates as investigation continues.
