Man dies in two-vehicle crash.
A 72-year-old man from Greenville died after a two-vehicle crash in Montcalm County Saturday morning. The crash happened at 10:25 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of M-46 and Youngman Road in Cato Township. According to Michigan State Police, a 2001 Chevy Malibu was traveling north on Youngman Road and failed to stop at the stop sign at M-46, and collided with an eastbound 2009 Chevrolet HHR. The driver of the Malibu, a 72-year-old man from Greenville was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities said he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The driver of the Chevrolet HHR, a 54-year-old man from Lakeview, suffered minor injuries. His passenger, a 63-year-old man from Coral, had to be taken to Kelsey Memorial Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Both of them were wearing seatbelts.
