1 dead, 1 hurt in pedestrian-truck crash in Clinton Township
The men, both in their 50s, were running westbound on Gratiot when they were struck about 6 a.m. on Gratiot near Capital, about a half mile south of Hall Road, across from the Concorde Inn, Police Capt. Richard Maierle said.
He said a man driving a Dodge Ram pickup northbound on Gratiot in the left through lane struck the men, who appeared to have run in front of the truck. A witness told police that the pickup driver was driving the speed limit, which is 45 m.p.h.
