2 Killed in Car vs. Train Crash in Northern Minn.

The driver of the train was 37-year-old Ryan Hartnell, who had no injuries.
Two people died after their vehicle was struck by a train in northern Minnesota around 5:33 p.m. Wednesday on Highway 11 in Roseau. A Ford Focus was northbound at a railroad crossing when the driver slowed at a stop sign but didn’t stop the vehicle. The car went across the tracks and was struck on the driver’s side by an eastbound train, which shoved the car into a ditch. Aaron Cook, 35, of Warroad, Minnesota, and Sheryl Reed, 33, of Macon, Georgia, died in the crash.
