1 Dead After I-94 Crash Near Barnesville

The Minnesota State Patrol says one person is dead after a crash on Interstate 94 near Barnesville. Westbound lanes of Interstate 94 were closed near Barnesville while crews investigated the crash. A semi was going west when a car rear ended it, killing a passenger in the car. Barnesville is 210 miles northwest of the Twin Cities in Clay County. The crash happened at 7:39 a.m.

BARNESVILLE, Minn. (AP) - One person has been killed and two others have been injured in a two-vehicle crash involving a semitrailer on Interstate 94 in western Minnesota. The Minnesota State Patrol says a vehicle carrying the three victims rear-ended a semitrailer shortly after 7:30 a.m. A front passenger in the vehicle was killed and two others were hurt. Barnesville is about 210 miles northeast of the Twin Cities and about 25 miles southeast of Fargo, North Dakota. The semitrailer driver and his passenger weren't injured.
