Man Killed While Walking in Beltrami County

A 32-year-old man was killed Wednesday after a truck with snowplow attached struck him in northern Minnesota, the Beltrami County Sheriff's Office said.

Officers were told the crash involved a 1997 Chevrolet Tahoe with an attached plow and a pedestrian.
At around 8 p.m. in southeastern Beltrami County, a pickup truck with an attached snowplow was driving north, while a 32-year-old man was walking south on the west side of the road with two other people. The victim ran across the southbound lane and into the path of the truck, and he was struck and killed. The driver of the truck did not see the man in time to stop.
