Fatal Broadside Collision Kills at Least One in Cottonwood County Posted: Updated: A fatal broadside collision involving five people has killed at least one person in Cottonwood County. It happened just after 4:00 pm Sunday, on highway 30 and Country Road 1. According to the State Patrol, a truck driven by 21-year-old-Brian V Hagberg, was traveling eastbound on Highway 30 when he collided with a car traveling southbound on Cotton Co. Two passengers in the car, 52-year-old Khonrasamith Phonevidone of Bloomington and Saengdao Philaphon, 44, of Bloomington, were seriously injured. The name and conditions of the driver of the car and third passenger involved, have not been released.

Names released in fatal Cottonwood County crash

The driver of the Passat, 54-year-old Prakasith Souksavath of Jackson, was killed in the crash, as was one of his passengers, Keo Kaysonphet, age 47, of Bloomington.
