A Richfield woman was trying to kill herself by going 100 mph in her car when she struck a Bloomington truck and killed a city worker, according to charges in Hennepin County District Court. She told police she was going 100 mph on American Boulevard, and the SUV's computer said she was going 80 mph at impact, the complaint said. She drove to get some vodka and at times reached 100 mph. Lenort had returned to the passenger seat of truck that was parked in the middle lane when the truck was hit, the complaint said. She told police she took four or five shots of vodka, the complaint said.

Twenty-four-year-old Marie Hall was charged Wednesday with murder and other counts.

Twenty-four-year-old Marie Jessica Hall was trying to kill herself by going 100 mph in her car when she hit a Bloomington truck and killed a city worker, according to charges filed in Hennepin County District Court. The driver of the city truck, 56-year-old Daryl Bittman of Minneapolis, was injured. She drove to get some vodka and at times reached 100 mph. She told police she was going 100 mph on American Boulevard, and the SUV's computer said she was going 80 mph at impact, the complaint said.
