A Minneapolis woman was injured after police say she was run over and dragged.
Charge: Driver hit woman in Mpls. lot, dragged her until crashing
The parking lot incident in Minneapolis grew out of a dispute between two groups early Saturday morning.
Vanessa Uzong, 24, of Brooklyn Park, is in custody on felony assault charges after hitting 26-year-old Miera Horton with a car Saturday morning. The accident occured around 1 a.m. on the 500 block of Hennepin Avenue. Witnesses report Uzong veered her car toward Horton as she tried to get out of the way. Uzong’s car hit Horton, and Horton was dragged. Horton has been hospitalized in serious condition and Uzong has been charged with first-degree assault and jailed.
