A preliminary autopsy shows she died from injuries consistent with a significant fall to the ice. At this point investigators are anxious to speak with anyone who may have been on or near the Granite City Bridge at approximately 1 a.m. Sunday. Potential witnesses, or those who know anything about what may have happened are asked to call the Stearns County Sheriff's Office at 320-251-4240.
UPDATE: Body of 21-Year-Old St. Cloud Woman Found On Mississippi River [VIDEO]
At about 12:45 p.m. yesterday (Sunday) the St. Cloud Police Department notified the Sheriff’s Office that a body was found lying on the ice near the Granite City Crossing – or Highway 23 bridge. A walker on the bridge spotted the body at about 12:20 p.m.
The woman’s body has been sent to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s office for an autopsy.
