Motorcyclist hurt in crash in Chatfield

A Rochester motorcyclist was hospitalized Wednesday after a car pulled out in front of him as he drove on U.S. 52 in Chatfield and the vehicles collided, according to the State Patrol. Gary M. Brevig, 71, was in fair condition today at Mayo Clinic Hospital - Saint Marys Campus, according to a Mayo spokeswoman.
Police say Gary M. Brevig, 71, was driving north of U.S. 52 at the intersection with Olmsted County Road 10 when a car driven west on the county road by Kaylie J. Bernard, 16, of Chatfield pulled out in front of him and the vehicles collided. According to the patrol, Bernard had stopped at the stop sign but didn't see the motorcycle and continued into the highway.
