Coroner Roberts identifies the victim as Joe Don Faulkner. Faulkner died on the scene with major trauma to the head and body.

Family of Pedestrian Killed on Spillway Road Speaks

"You don't expect it to happen, suddenly like that you know. it was kind of a shock, little bit of disbelief," Jerry Faulkner says he couldn't believe it when he heard the news that his father, 60-year-old, Joe Don Faulkner was struck by a vehicle while he was crossing Spillway Road, Friday.

UPDATE: Coroner Roberts identifies the victim as Joe Don Faulkner.
Faulkner died on the scene with major trauma to the head and body.
Coroner Roberts says his body is being transported to a funeral home in Nashville, Arkansas.

Rankin County Coroner Jimmy Roberts says a 60-year-old white male was killed Friday at 9:08pm on Spillway Road in Brandon.
He says the the man was struck by an SUV traveling east bound, between Old Fannin Road and Hugh Ward Blvd.
No name has been released at this time. The Rankin County Sheriff is taking over the investigation.
