Because of the strong possibility that alcohol contributed to the crash, Simpson was arrested after he was released from the hospital, Bailey said.
It was approximately 6:00 p.m. when two jet skis collided in a lake in the Robinhood community of Rankin County, which is just south of Brandon. One driver, identified as Bryan James Bessonette, 29, was killed in the crash, while the other, identified as John Craig Simpson, 36, sustained only minor injuries. After he was treated at the hospital, Simpson was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
