Milton Richardson Jr. killed after crash with tractor-trailer driven by Alvin Parks on Highway 3 in Yazoo County.

According to Mississippi Highway Patrol, around 12:30pm, there was a two vehicle accident on Hwy 3.

It happened south of Yazoo City in Yazoo County.

A 2004 Buick Century driven by Milton Richardson Jr., age 44, from Yazoo City was traveling northbound on Hwy 3. Mr. Richardson Jr. crossed over into the southbound lane and struck a 18 wheeler log truck head on. Mr. Richardson Jr. was killed on scene.

The 18 wheeler was driven by Alvin Parks, age 57, from Kosciusko,Mississippi. Mr. Parks was not injured. The 18 wheeler was registered to Robert Simmons Logging out of French Camp , Mississippi. There was one witness to the accident on scene when authorities arrived.

Authorities say the accident is still under investigation, and a medical issue may have been a factor in the accident to cause Mr. Richardson cross into the other lane.
