Michael R. Sear, 58, from Kansas City, Kan., was driving a Kia Soul on I-29 northbound when a Subaru Crosstrek in back of him struck the Kia in the rear, causing both vehicles to go off the road and into the median cable barrier, the Missouri State Highway Patrol report stated.
