The Nissan rear-ended a 2002 Mazda Protege driven by Karin J. Breen, Kansas City, Mo., who was traveling in reverse in the number one lane of the Interstate.
Breen and a passenger in the Mazda identified as Studd F. Leach, 46, Manhattan, Kansas, were pronounced dead at the scene.
