The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2005 Chevy Silverado driven by Rachel E. Galloway, 18, Kansas City, Mo., was southbound on U.S. 71 one mile south of Clearmont. The pickup traveled off the east side of the road, struck multiple embankments and came to rest in a corn field.

A 17-year-old boy, who was a passenger, received moderate injuries while the driver, 18-year-old Rachel Galloway received minor injuries. Both were taken to Mosaic Medical Center in Maryville.
