Teen killed in crash early Thursday
A Park Hills teenager was killed in a two-vehicle accident Thursday at 6:50 a.m. off Highway 21 near Simpson Road in Washington County.
15-year-old driver with learner's permit dies in eastern Missouri crash
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Mathenia drove into the path of a dump truck on Highway 21.
15-year-old Erin Mathenia of Park Hills died after she attempted to make a left turn off a private driveway onto southbound Highway 21, driving her Dodge Neon into the path of a 2008 Sterling dump truck being driven by 36-year-old David Crisp of Farmington. The truck struck the left side of the Neon, and Erin was pronounced dead at the scene despite wearing her seat belt at the time of the crash.
