Woman is fatally struck by car in eastern Missouri
KMOV-TV reports that a 35-year-old woman was walking along the north service road of Interstate 44 near St. Clair in Franklin County when she was hit by a car.
A 30-year-old man walking along the shoulder saw the accident and went to the woman's aid.

The Missouri Highway Patrol identified the woman as Heather M. Wilken, 35, of St. Clair, Mo. It wasn't clear why she was in the road, North Outer Service Road West, west of Highway 30.
